Sarah Buckley BSc Hons (Agricultural Biochemistry and Animal Nutrition) LLM (food law)

Agricultural Biochemist Sarah Buckley has worked in the animal health and nutrition industry for over 20 years and along with her colleague Jamie Bennison, is at the forefront of UK research and development into ruminant bolus technology.

Sarah is passionate about nutrition and farming, she is also served four years as an active member of the Veterinary Residues Committee (VRC) - an independent advisory committee that overseas the UK’s surveillance for residues of veterinary medicines in food produced in the UK and imported from overseas.

Sarah lives in Lincolnshire on her arable farm with her two children and husband Andrew Buckley, a local farm director. She grew up on a mixed arable and dairy farm in North Yorkshire and her family are also shareholders in a large dairy unit in New Zealand. Sarah continues to be involved with various farming pursuits beyond her work commitments and in addition to previous committee roles with the Young Farmers Club and the Norfolk Pig Discussion Group, Womens Food and Farmers Union and she is a cattle steward at the Great Yorkshire Show and has been for the past 20 years.

 

Sarah's past times include part taking in sports such as tennis and running, being an active mother also spends time taking her children to sporting activities. Sarah believes that children should know where the food on their plates comes from and has given numerous talks and presentations at local primary schools. Sarah enjoys travelling and has been to New Zealand and Canada for pleasure and as Agrimin is a truely international company has been to New Zealand on business.
