TEMPERATURES ARE DROPPING-PROTECT YOUR LAMBS WITH LAMMAC JACKETS!
With the forecast of rain, sleet and snow and cold north easterly winds across Scotland moving south into northern England, it's time for your customers to get Agrimin Lammac jackets for their new-born lambs!
Lammacs are polythene jackets which provide protection against the elements for a newly born lamb and help prevent hypothermia which is the major cause of lamb mortality in temperate regions such as the UK. They are made from polythene film which is degradable in ultra-violet light. Lambs usually shed their Lammacs after about three days and the jackets will then dissolve under natural light over a period of about five weeks. Lammacs are designed to ensure the ewe can smell and identify her own lamb. Mis-mothering is not a problem.
Lammacs are available in a number of colours, sizes and pack quantities:
STANDARD BLUE - 50 - Vital protection for small and hill-breed lambs. For good visibility, in poor light or at long distance.
STANDARD CLEAR - 100 - In clear polythene. Farmers can see mark on lambs through jacket.
LARGE ORANGE - 100 - Vital protection for lowland or crossbred lambs. Orange gives excellent visibility against all backgrounds.
LARGE CLEAR - 100 - In clear polythene. Farmers can see mark on lambs through jacket.
