Ieuan Davies presented the importance of trace elements at the CCF Machynlleth branch on 2nd August 17.
A good crowd of over 30 local farmers came along to the CCF Machynlleth branch on Wednesday 2nd August to learn about the importance of trace elements in sheep and lambs. Ieuan Davies, Wales Sales Manager presented on the benefits of trace elements and Agrimin’s bolus range and later on performed a best practice demonstration on bolusing sheep and lambs. “This is a very important time of year for the sheep farmer when he weans his lambs” said Ieuan. “At weaning the sudden change in the lamb’s diet can have a negative effect on the lamb’s growth and performance and the farmer will need to look at trace element supplementation to help overcome this”.
Also attending were Ritchie Agriculture with their Combiclamp sheep handling equipment, Farming Connect and Innovis. Thanks to all who attended the event and also a big thanks to Dai and Arwel the CCF store staff who’s novel idea it was to have the demo at their store. Incidentally this was the first of two on farm demos last week held completely in the medium of Welsh. Diolch eto i bawb.
