Innovis Demo day
Agrimin were invited to attend sheep genetics specialists Innovis’ event at Peithill, Aberystwyth recently to advise on the importance of trace elements to growth and fertility. Attending were Agrimin’s Technical Director Dr. Jamie Bennison and Wales Sales Manager Ieuan Davies who performed a dual role in knowledge transfer and demonstrating best practice during bolusing to over a hundred of Innovis’ premier ram customers. ‘Today we bolused over 350 of Innovis’ prime sale rams watched by their potential buyers’ said Ieuan. ‘As these rams are purposely forage bred without the input of any concentrates it is key that their trace element status is managed. It is very important that rams have adequate levels of trace elements especially in the months leading up to tupping and bolusing two months before the boys go to work will ensure that they are adequately supplemented’.
Agrimin would like to thank Innovis for the opportunity to demonstrate best practice bolusing technique to their customers and discuss the important role trace elements play in their flocks. We would also like to thank Ritchie and Carwyn Davies for attending the event and supporting us with the Ritchie Combi Clamp.
