James McCulloch has over 30 years experience developing agricultural animal health and nutritional management systems for the UK and international farming industries. He offers a key advisory service to farmers and James’ philosophy is that if he can’t assist with a problem on the farm, he’ll be able to find someone who can.
James has chaired a European task force which lobbied the EU Commission to adopt a harmonised legislative framework for nutritional supplements for animals and has also sat on UK Government committees at regional and national level to advise on Government export policy. Through extensive EU lobbying, James has enabled effective UK animal nutrition and health systems to become available to farmers throughout the EU and beyond.
James has helped Agrimin Ltd develop export sales in most EC countries. Other newly opened markets include Turkey, Australia, New Zealand and more remote areas such as Iceland and The Azores. In 2004 James was awarded an OBE for services to British Exports.
James lives in rural Lincolnshire with his wife and two children. When he’s not working or travelling overseas he can be found windsurfing, mountain biking or walking his dogs across the Lincolnshire Wolds.
James McCulloch has specialist knowledge in the following areas:
Dairy, beef and sheep production in the UK
International livestock production systems
The roles of feed and veterinary intervention in animal health and nutritional management
EU institutions and lobbying
EU Feed legislation
