NSA Highland Sheep 09.06.2015

Tom and Mark attended NSA Highland Sheep at Fearn Farm, Tain. Fearn Farm is run by host farmer John Scott who was last year’s Farmers Weekly sheep farmer of the year. John runs a 4200 strong pedigree and commercial ewe operation and a 200 cattle enterprise.

The sun shone and a steady flow of visitors came by the stand throughout the day, there was a tremendous array of industry stands and breed societies on show to keep the crowds entertained.

Given the exceptionally high standard of stock on display at the farm and how well they all looked it was particularly pleasing to hear that all John’s ewes are on 24·7 Smartrace Sheep boluses and the cattle on the All-Trace HI Iodine products.

Many farmers came on to the stand to say that they had seen our 24·7 Smartrace Lamb adverts in the national press and came to make further enquiries about this exciting new product. Overall, the response to this new bolus has been very positive as initial sales would confirm.

Farmers visited from throughout Scotland including a coach trip from Orkney which included the president of the Orkney county Show 2015, we look forward to our stand at the Orkney County Show which is our next Scottish event.
