Orkney Country Show 08.08.2015
With the highest stocking density by area of cattle in
Europe it was no surprise to see the tremendous quality of stock on display at
Orkney County Show.
Unsurprisingly due to the terrible weather over recent
months stock numbers were slightly back but luckily the sun shone on the day
and quality was seen across all sections.
The Agrimin stand was
ideally located immediately opposite the cattle lines and a good stream of
enquiries came in throughout the day.
The county show in Kirkwall attracts and
annual crowd of over 10,000 which accounts for over half the population so
attending was a great opportunity to gain exposure on the island and meet many
of the local farmers.
Post show a tremendous evening meal was organised by Birsay
farmers for all the animal health representatives in attendance at the show,
many thanks to them for that.
